The ESS display would always say ‘Battery Charging’ when the system didn’t work. It would take more and more driving before the ‘Battery Charging’ message would finally go off Within 5 mins, the engine will just shut off. So far I have: Cleaned the throttle body. Flushed the transmission. Replaced battery. At times when I hit the gas, the truck will sputter and my cruise control goes out. Once the battery is disconnected, the cruise control works fine.
